Happy National Cat Day - 29 October 2014

Cat lovers unite!!!

"Every Day Is Cat Day" ! But the 29th of October is going to be extra special. Why?  Because the day is not just about showering our cats with affection, but recognizing all the cats out there in need of being rescued!
Although an international cat day was created in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare recognition is widely restricted to the United States.

We would like to
help spreading the word to an international audience to recognize the number of cats that need to be rescued each year and also to encourage cat lovers to celebrate the cat(s) in their life for the unconditional love and companionship they bestow upon us.

One of the best things you could do is visit your local cat shelter if you are interested in celebrating National Cat Day 2014  and we think it really gives you a good idea of why it's so important that we support our feline friends.

Happy National Cat Day.

Review: Odie the Stray Kitten

Kirsten Mott

A little orange and white kitten lost his family on a cold winter night. He never expected to find a loving forever home in a horse barn. But he also found hope, new friends and a name. This is the heartwarming true story of Odie the stray kitten, to be enjoyed by children of all ages.

"Odie the Stray Kitten" is a cute story of how Odie, a stray cat, finds his forever home with another barn cat named Bandit. The book is based on the true story of the author's cats, and is illustrated adorably. "Odie the Stray Kitten" is a sweet read for young readers or as a read-aloud. Take a look at the cover - don't you want to take in Odie, too? This is a lovely bedtime book.

Each double page spread includes a full color illustration to match the story, making it suitable for a nice quiet story time between a caregiver and child.
